Today L's class celebrated "multicultural day." All the kids were invited to dress up in a traditional costume, present a report on their native culture (however diluted), and bring a dish for the multicultural pot-luck. Having a smattering of German on both sides, L donned a dirndl and gave her presentation on her Teutonic tracings. Mom made
Rotkohl (red cabbage) for her feast offering. Evidently
Hefeweizen was frowned upon in the 1st grade.
